Media depictions of queer youth have gone through a massive shift over the last sixty years: From denying the existence of queer youth; to treating them as a problem to solve; and then finally to celebrating and supporting them. Appropriate for schools, youth groups, and caregivers, this presentation is a guided tour of the ways in which media images have shifted over the decades, and the social movements that drove changes for young people.
